Jennings American Legion Hospital

The laboratory at Jennings American Legion Hospital provides a wide range of services to all of our patients, from birth to geriatrics, including those who are seeking inpatient or emergency treatment within the hospital. The lab also serves patients from outside the facility, such as those in homes, schools, businesses, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, clinics and home health agencies in the community. Our lab is well-equipped to assist physicians and other health care professionals in the diagnosis, screening and continued treatment of its hospital and community members.

Our laboratory offers a broad range of services that include hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug screening, blood bank, microbiology and point of care testing. Pathology services are provided by trained pathology laboratory physicians who perform frozen sections, bone marrow testing and other diagnostic procedures. The lab also sponsors blood drives four times a year in coordination with LifeShare Blood Center.
