Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is proud to welcome interventional cardiologist Dr. Riaz Rahman to its team of expert cardiologists in Jennings. Dr. Rahman is now seeing patients at the CIS Jennings clinic at 422 Kade Drive, Suite 1.
Dr. Rahman is originally from Trinidad and Tobago and graduated with honors when earning his medical degree at the University of the West Indies. He spent the past seven years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania completing both his general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the Allegheny General Hospital, where he served as the chief cardiovascular disease fellow. He also completed his internal medicine residency at the UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he served as the chief internal medicine resident.
Dr. Rahman is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the American Medical Association. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine-Cardiovascular Disease, the Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the National Board of Echocardiography.
