Learn the Fundamentals of Babysitting!

Safe Sitter® is a program for 11-14 year olds where you will learn life-saving skills so you can be safe if you’re home alone or watching younger children.

You’ll play fun games and do some role-playing exercises — you even get to use manikins to practice choking rescue!

Your mom and dad will feel better knowing you’re prepared to handle whatever situation comes up, and you’ll be ready to be in charge!

During the one-day Safe Sitter class, participants learn how to have fun with their charges with age-appropriate activities

They will also learn:
• Safety tips: how to recognize a medical emergency and what the appropriate action should be during an emergency, such as when a child or infant is choking;
• Security techniques: what to do if a stranger comes to the door and when and how to call for help.
• The business aspects of baby sitting
• Training in CPR

The cost is $45, which includes all learning materials. Lunch will be provided. Scholarships are available based on financial need. Enrollment is limited. Registration forms available on web site or by calling 337-616-7031.
